Auto-sync to Shopify Customer Resources
Simply Forms team
Last Update 11 dagen geleden
Simply Forms can automatically sync customer information collected through your forms — such as name, email, phone number, and address — with your store’s customer profiles. Additionally, when a customer logs in, Simply Forms will auto-fill their information from Shopify into your forms.
Here’s a quick demo of how Simply Forms automatically fills in customer information.
Auto-create or Update Customer Profile

When the Automatically create or update customer contact... setting is enabled as above:
- New Customers: If the submitted details don't match an existing record, the app will create a new customer profile in Shopify using the mapped information.
- Existing Customers: If the customer already has a profile in your store, the app will update their record with the newly submitted data—including their name, email, and phone number—based on your mapped fields.
You can configure which form fields should be mapped and synced in the Configuration tab of the Form Builder. Only the properties you’ve mapped will be synced to Shopify. If no mapping is configured, no customer data will be synced.

Note: When syncing with the Shopify Customer resource, address and contact information are processed separately.
If Automatically create a customer's default address... is enabled, a new address will be created from the mapped address fields and set as the default. The previous default address will remain but be marked as non-default.
If auto-fill is enabled and the address is unchanged, no new address will be created.
Auto-fill Customer Profile

- Logged-in Customers: The app automatically pulls profile information to fill your form. Ensure you map your form fields to Shopify customer properties; otherwise, the app won't know which data belongs in which field.
- Guest Visitors: If a customer is not logged in or is visiting for the first time, fields will remain empty.
View All Submissions of a Customer
- From Shopify Admin: View all of a customer’s previous submissions directly via the admin link on their Shopify customer profile, as shown below:

- From Simply Forms: On any submission detail page, simply click the "View submissions" button to see every form that specific customer has ever filled out.
